This article enters a problem of cultural change which has taken place in recent decades as a consequence of the overthrow of totalitarian system in Poland and of processes of global transformation. The total change (social, political and the technological one) in the world is proposed or obliged to the new value preferences. A continuation of tradition which has manifested itself as the dominating standard in the previous period of time, may no longer be accepted as an axiom for the methodology. Instead of one continuous linear process of carrying on the tradition, more recognized and adopted should be discrete processes with variable steps. Specific emerged events reformulate the existing quality of coming changes or they modify their former direction. An example could be the influence that mobile telephone has had on every society within the last 10 years. We have to be able to recognize meaningful event and its interleave and their role within the process of civilizational changes.
